Items in Transit

Overview
The Items in Transit report lists the items that are in Transit or Dispatched statuses. This report is defaulted to items routed in the last 30 days, but you can adjust the filter to a different time frame as needed. A top-level KPI (key performance indicator) provides a quick statistic of the item count.
Report details
- Dataset: Circulation Item Status
- Data refresh rate: This report's data is updated nightly. It will be updated by 6 a.m. at your institution's data center time. The data will be "as of" the end of the previous day.
- Data history start date: Snapshot (current data only)
- Default date range: Transfer routing date in the last 30 days
- Report type: Interactive

Filters
Slicers
The Items in Transit report has two slicers that can be applied to the visual. Both slicers are set to All by default.
- Item Material Format - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. The available values will depend on your institution's holdings.
- Item Status Transfer Routing Reason - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. These values are pulled from the SortBin field of the Checkin response in your SIP2 Configuration. The available values include:
- Select all (default)
- (Blank) - Do not use.
- Hold - Item is needed to fulfill a patron hold request.
- Manual - Item transfer was initiated manually by a staff member rather than being automatically triggered by the system.
- N/A - No routing reason was provided.
- Reshelve - Item should be returned to the shelf.
- Schedule - Item is needed to fulfill an item scheduling request.
Visual
The Items in Transit report displays the Transit Item Count, which provides a count of the items in your collection that are currently in transit.
Columns
The Items in Transit report contains the following columns. Click on a column name for more information.
You can click a column name to change the column sort.
- Click once to sort the column in ascending order.
- Click twice to sort the column in descending order.
- Click three times to restore the column to its original order.
