Why is the Due Date field missing from an ILL request?

Symptom

  • The due date does not autofill even though it is configured in the Configure Lender Constant Data
  • There is no due date field visible in the request

Resolution

Copy requests do not have a due date. This is because the due date acts as a reminder to the borrower to return an item. This is unnecessary for a copy request, since it is fulfilled via a file transfer system rather than being physically shipped and processed through the mailing and handling process.
