I get an error when trying to submit a lending request in ILLiad that says LenderNotSupplier

Symptom
  • An error occurs when trying to submit a lending request: Error Sending Request: An error occurred sending the request: [Lenders] LenderNotSupplier - ABC

Resolution

In the above example, the ABC is the OCLC Symbol of a lender in the Lender String of a request. Check to see if they are an OCLC Supplier:

  1. Log into the Policies Directory and search the OCLC Symbol from the error.
  2. If the OCLC Supplier status is No, remove that lender from the Lender String
  3. Try again to submit the request. 

If this does not resolve the issue, contact OCLC Support.
