Bibliographic constant data
In Record Manager, users at the same institution (same OCLC symbol) share a bibliographic constant data list. Your constant data records are not shared with users at any other institution.
Create bibliographic constant data records so that you can:
- Avoid re-entering frequently used information when you create or maintain local bibliographic records.
- Reduce typing errors and improve consistency among related bibliographic records.
- Add specific fields, subfields, or other elements to multiple bibliographic records.
- Develop and maintain standards for use in all bibliographic records, for certain collections, or for specific types of resources.
