Recall Notice

Create this notification template to inform patrons when an item has been recalled in WorldShare Circulation.

Use this notification to inform patrons about an item that has been recalled.  This is a single notification that is automatically emailed as soon as an item is recalled.  The template for this notification is assigned by Loan Policy in OCLC Service Configuration.  Refer to Loan Policy for more information.

  • Once you have created the Recall Notice template, assign this template to a Loan Policy to enable the template to be automatically sent based on the schedule specified in the policy.
    • Next-Generation Notifications are sent out every 10 minutes.

If changes are made to a policy, you can manually reschedule the notification at the policy level. Refer to Reschedule a notification for more information.

The Name of the template will carry over into each subsequent language. A translation should be added for the following fields:

  • Subject

  • Footer

The information in the General information section must be entered and saved to view or edit the template for subsequent languages.
