User gets "Invalid credentials, try again." when signing in to WorldShare

Symptom

  • You get "Invalid credentials" error message when signing into WorldShare

Applies to

  • WorldShare Admin

Resolution

  1. Make sure you're at the correct WorldShare URL for your institution.
  2. It could be an incorrect user name or password. Check if Caps Lock is on. If you don't remember your username, contact OCLC Support.
  3. Your password may be expired. Passwords expire every five years. Try resetting your password.
  4. If you are accessing WorldShare from a bookmarked link, that bookmark may be corrupted. Try pasting a clean version of your WorldShare URL into a private browsing window. If this resolves the issue, delete the old bookmark and recreate it with the clean URL.
