Error sending message Could not connect to SMTP host error
Symptom
- WorldShare staff users are unable to send messages to users through the Email button in the Interlibrary loan tab. Instead, they get the error Failed to send email Error sending message (Could not connect to SMTP host: mailhost.prod.oclc.org, port 25).

Resolution
This error suggests that there is an outage going on with WorldShare ILL or OCLC email servers. Please contact OCLC Support with your name, your OCLC symbol, your WorldShare username, the error message, and what you were doing when you got it.
If an outage occurred earlier in the day, please clear your machine's browser cache and worldcat.org cookies, then restart the browser and try this again. It may be that you accidentally cached an error page during the outage and although the issue itself is resolved, you're not seeing the change due to caching.
