Can we use Microsoft 365 to print jobs from ILLiad?

- Staff or student workers can only use Microsoft 365. They cannot use the computer-based apps for Word, Excel, etc.

Resolution
No, Microsoft 365 cannot be used to print from ILLiad. The ILLiad client requires the locally installed desktop versions of Microsoft Word and Excel to generate and print slips. The mail merge that builds the slips runs against the installed Office applications on the workstation, so the web-only Microsoft 365 apps will not work for this purpose. Microsoft 365 is supported as long as the desktop Word and Excel apps are installed locally on the machine running the ILLiad client.
The practical options are to install the desktop Word and Excel apps (a standard Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise or Apps for Business license includes them), or to have staff use a shared workstation that already has them when slips need to be printed.
