Why am I receiving the error "ELvl (Leader/17) - invalid code" or "ELvl (Leader/17) - not authorized to use I" when I try to validate a record?

Symptom

• You receive an error when you try to validate a record using ELvl I or J

Applies to

• WorldShare Record Manager
• Connexion client

Resolution

The encoding levels I and J were decommissioned in a recent validation update. You should leave the encoding level blank instead.
