How can I combine separate copies into one multipart item?

You can move all of the LHRs onto one LHR. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the LHR that you want to keep
  2. Open up the first of the LHRs that you want to remove
  3. Make a note of/copy the information currently held in the 866 and 876 tags (I would recommend copying and pasting each line into a separate document, like Notepad or Word)
  4. Edit your chosen LHR record and add all the additional 866 and 876 (paired) tags to it
  5. Delete the unwanted LHR (which will temporarily put the item into a Withdrawn status).
  6. Save your chosen LHR.

This will enable the previously individual copies to display as one multipart record. If you have any questions about this, please contact OCLC Support.
