WorldShare Record Manager release notes, April 2026

Introduction
This release of WorldShare Record Manager provides one enhancement for a modernized and restyled Institution settings page.
This is another step towards the modernization of the Record Manager interface to improve usability, navigation, and accessibility. The new Institution settings page was designed to be fresh and intuitive while minimizing changes to your workflows.
The new interface will help you navigate the Institution settings page more easily with improved cursor focus on buttons and entry fields, and element focus for keyboards.
No functional changes were made to the Institution settings.
Please note that only users with the Cataloging_Admin role are able to see and edit the Institution settings page.
Recommended actions
For this release, we recommend that Record Manager users with the Cataloging_Admin role make themselves familiar with the new design of Record Manager Institution settings.
New features and enhancements
Modernized Institution settings page
The modernized and restyled Institution settings page now displays all sections of institutional settings on one page. Previously, there were up to 3 accordions showing the respective settings.
Please note that the settings that are displayed here depend on your library's configuration, e.g. if you're a WMS library but decided not to use audience levels, the section for "Audience levels" will not display here.

As soon as a change has been made to this page, the "Discard changes" button will display, and you can either save your changes by clicking on "Save" or undo your changes by clicking on the "Discard changes" button.
Changes become effective immediately.
