Release Date: March 27, 2025
This release of WorldShare Record Manager provides one new feature and enhancement in addition to three bug fixes. These features will help you manage more complex workflows, including:
You can now use new indexes to search for WorldCat Entity URIs:
These indexes can now be used in an expert search query or through the Advanced Search window.
Example: expert search with uw: plus a URI; it searches for all bibliographic records that contain the work entity referenced via URI.
Please note that you have to type in the full URI as your search criteria.

Example: advanced search with the uy: index and a URI in the input field

The index dropdown in the Advanced Search window has now been extended with the new URI indexes. Per default, they appear at the bottom of the index list but you can easily find them by typing in "uri" and the list will auto-suggest the new indexes.

You can customize per search scope if and in which position you want the new URI indexes to display.
Go to User Preferences > Advanced Search and select a search scope. You can now check or uncheck all indexes and move them to the preferred order using the up/down arrows.

You will now see details on why validation failed on an authority record if you have entered an unsupported character. Previously validation failed but did not give any details about the problem.
You can now correctly search for field or text strings that contain more than one word. Previously the lookup would just search for the first word and then display the suggested strings.
Result lists will now display correctly when a "Kit" facet was selected or when the results contain record(s) with a "Kit" format. Previously a blank page showed on bibliographic result lists when facet "Kit" was selected or when a record with format "Kit" appeared on the first page of a result list.
