SCIPIO cataloging workflow

Find SCIPIO cataloging workflows for catalogs of auction houses assigned and not assigned to your library in Connexion client.

For catalogs of auction houses assigned to your library:

If received before the date of sale, create and add a new SCIPIO record to WorldCat.
If received on or after the date of sale, search WorldCat for an existing SCIPIO record.
If you find a record, derive a record from it and add or edit data for use in your library.
If you do not find a record, create a record using a MARC workform. You can use WorldCat data sync collections to add your SCIPIO records to WorldCat.

For catalogs of auction houses not assigned to your library:

Search WorldCat for an existing SCIPIO record.
- If you find a record, derive a record from it and add or edit data for use in your library.
- If you do not find a record and the sale has not yet taken place, hold the catalog until after the date of sale, and then search WorldCat again.
- If you do not find a record after the date of sale, create a record using a MARC format. You can use WorldCat data sync collections to add your SCIPIO records to WorldCat.
