About CONTENTdm (new version)

Overview

CONTENTdm (new version) helps libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural heritage institutions make unique digital collections easier to discover, manage, and connect.

Contentdm (new version) dashboard

The Dashboard screen shows an overview of your items and collections from where you last left off.
Use the Content Management menu to manage:
- Add items
- Collections
- Published items
- My drafts
  - Drafts are specific to users and are not shared across the site.
Use the Metadata menu to manage:
Use the Uploads and errors menu to manage:
- Process manager
- Error log
Use the Public website menu to manage:
- Appearance
- Site configuration
Use the Administration menu to manage:
Quickly view your most recently updated collections.
View any errors, items in process, uploading, or complete, published items, and any current drafts.
Use the Quick actions menu to Add items, Create collection, and Upload metadata file. To view your website, click Go to public website.

CONTENTdm (new version) roles and descriptions

Role	Description
Everyone	This check box must remain selected.
Administrator	Administrators can assign any role and have all rights, access, and privileges to all CONTENTdm content and features.
Collection manager	Collection Manager can assign manager and builder roles, create/edit collections, change collection metadata templates, add/edit metadata properties, create/edit vocabularies, customize website, customize thumbnails, view reports, configure analytics integration.
Collection builder	Collection Builder can create/edit drafts, batch upload, create/edit exhibits, move items across collections.
Website manager	Website Manager can customize the website only.

Connect with fellow CONTENTdm users in the OCLC Community Center. If you do not yet have an OCLC Services account for CONTENTdm Community Center access, please request one now. After you submit the web form, you will receive your new account within 4-5 business days.
