Symptom

  • Missing items after they have been approved and the collection indexed

Applies to

  • CONTENTdm

Resolution

Short introduction or instructions to follow these steps:

  1. After a full build, still unable to find the item when searching by title.
  2. Perform a custom XML export and include the title and the CONTENTdm number.
  3. Then search the export by title to retrieve the CONTENTdm number.
  4. Go to the admin interface, browse the collection, open a the metadata on one item, and then add the CONTENTdm number after the CISOPTR= in the URL to bring up the missing item.
  5. Make a minor change to the item and then save it and index the collection. 

 

Additional information

The item should be present when you search by title.
