Export standard reports

Learn how to export standard reports and report data in WorldShare Reports in Power BI.

Export a standard report

You can export a standard report from the File menu to your local workstation as a PDF, PowerPoint (PPT), or PNG file.

 Note: Exporting a standard report from the File menu results in an export of the report visual(s) only as displayed on your screen. You must export data from the individual report visual(s) to retrieve all underlying report data.

  1. Click File > Export. and then select one of the following export formats.
  2. Select an export file type from the flyout menu.
    • PDF
    • PowerPoint (PPT)
    • PNG
  3. The file will automatically begin downloading to your workstation.

Export report data from a report visual

You can export report data from each visual in the report.

  1. Hover over a visual and click the More options button (Screenshot of the More options button in a report visual in WorldShare Reports in Power BI).
  2. Click Export data in the pop-up menu. The Which data do you want to export? dialog.
  3. From the dialog:
    1. Depending on the type of data you are exporting, you may be presented with a selection of export format options. Select one of the following: 
      •  Data with current layout—This option exports data as a plain table without styling or filters. It is only available for table or matrix visuals.
      • Summarized data - This option exports data as a table with filters enabled for each column and alternating colored rows.
    2. Select a file format from the drop-down list if exporting the data as Summarized data.
      • .xlsx (Excel 150,000-row max) (default)
      • .csv (30,000-row max)
    3. Click Export. The file automatically downloads to your workstation.
  4. (Optional) Repeat steps 1-3 for each additional visuals in the report.
