Routing Slip

Create this notification template to print a Routing slip when an item is checked in and needs to be routed to a different branch.

The Routing Slip is used when an item is checked in and needs to be routed to a different branch. Once configured, the Routing Slip can be printed directly from the Circulation UI using the Routing slip button on the Check in screen. The Routing Slip cannot be enabled until the template is complete.

The Routing Slip is not available via email, only using Network Print and Point of sale (POS). The Routing Slip template configured under Next-Generation Notifications > Templates > Item management slips is for Network Print only. For the POS template, see Routing Slip (POS).

No notification scheduling is used for this template, and only a single template can be configured for this notification type per institution (one each for Network Printing and POS).

Caution: When a library enables a Next-Generation Notification, its corresponding legacy notification(s) will be disabled (if they had previously been enabled). For Group Aware libraries, OCLC recommends coordinating a single rollout window for Next-Generation Notifications across the consortium to avoid patrons experiencing mixed notification experiences when borrowing from multiple libraries.
