Disable a fund for new transactions
You can disable a fund to prevent it from being used for new transactions while still allowing it to be used for existing order items and invoice items.
- From the left navigation, click Budgets.
- Select the current or next fiscal period budget from the Select Budget drop-down list and click Edit.
- Locate the fund that you want to disable for new transactions, click the ellipsis button () in the Actions column, and select Edit from the drop-down menu.
- From the Fund Status column drop-down menu, select Disabled for New Transactions .
- Click Save.
- If the fund you selected has child funds, the Apply fund status to child funds dialog opens. Select whether you would like to change the status of all the child funds of the selected fund.
- Yes - The status for all child funds will update to Disabled for New Transactions .
- No - The status for all child funds will not change.
- If the fund you selected has child funds, the Apply fund status to child funds dialog opens. Select whether you would like to change the status of all the child funds of the selected fund.
After the fund has been disabled for new transactions:
- It will be grayed out and unselectable in existing order and invoice items.
- You can invoice an item or place an order for an item where the disabled fund was previously selected.
- If you change the fund selection of an order or invoice item where the disabled fund was originally selected, you will not be able to reselect the disabled fund. You will need to enable the disabled fund to use it.
Disable a fund for all uses
- From the left navigation, click Budgets.
- Select the current or next fiscal period budget from the Select Budget drop-down list and click Edit.
- Locate the fund that you want to disable for all uses, click the ellipsis button () in the Actions column, and select Edit from the drop-down menu.
- From the Fund Status column drop-down menu, select Disabled for All Uses .
- Click Save.
- You will receive an error message if the fund has any of the following:
- Open order items.
- Upaid invoice items.
- Unpaid or partially paid order items
Note: This includes items that are invoiced but the invoice has not been paid, as well as items that have not been invoiced or have been partially invoiced.

After the fund has been disabled for all uses:
- It will be grayed out and unselectable in existing order and invoice items.
- You will not be able to select this fund for order items or invoice items.
Enable a disabled fund
- From the left navigation, click Budgets.
- Select the current or next fiscal period budget from the Select Budget drop-down list and click Edit.
- Locate the fund that you want to enable for new transactions, click the ellipsis button () in the Actions column, and select Edit from the drop-down menu.
- From the Fund Status column drop-down menu, select Enabled .
- Click Save.
