Cataloguing using SDI terms

During cataloguing, link new title records to the appropriate subject headings during the cataloguing process as normal:

 Note: You can specify in an SDI profile record whether OLIB should traverse the thesaurus hierarchy to a certain number of levels. While assigning subject headings, you may only need to assign lower level terms in the thesaurus hierarchy.

On completion of the catalogue record, go to Related Items and Control Data (General layout). Set the record's Accession Date at the appropriate date and time. This field can be set manually when the cataloguer has completed the record, or OLIB can set it automatically when the Title record is set to a specific Status.
