Field Description
WorldCat/WorldShare Settings
Suspend Data Push Job  Suspends the task that sends new, changed, and deleted titles to WorldCat (by WorldCat Internet Retrieval URL(WCIRU)).
New Record SRU Wait Time (mins) The required time delay between the last audit trail entry and the record considered ready for sending to WorldCat (via WCIRU).
Data Push Logging level No longer implemented in OLIB.
Days To Keep OPAC Push Audit
OCLC Symbol The OCLC Symbol information in the WorldCat Institution Registry. This will be supplied from here into the data being pushed to WorldCat. Alternatively this information can be stored at Location level if your organisation has individual Location symbols.
Institution ID    The WorldCat Registry ID for the Institution - for exporting transaction information to WorldShare Management Services (WMS).
Persona Source System The source system for exporting Patron/User (persona) information to WMS.
LC Org. Source Code
WorldCat API Licence Key This OLIB field is under review.
Secret The authentication token that you will be given once your WSKey application is completed. Where WSKey is your user ID, Secret is your password.
Principal ID The identifier for the WorldShare user associated with the WSKey. As with Secret, you will be given the Principal ID once your WSKey application is completed.
Namespace A string that indicates that your WorldShare identity is managed by WorldShare's IDM rather than an external IDM. As with Secret, you will be given the Namespace once your WSKey application is completed.
Holdings URLs
Holding Codes Retrieval URL https://worldcat.org/bib/holdinglibraries
Holdings Maintenance URL https://worldcat.org/ih/data

These URLs are critical as they point to the production WorldCat metadata API, not a test instance. If these URLs are not present, you will not get any response when you click the Get Holdings Codes button below.

OCLC Cutter Style Cutter style is selected from drop down.

Z Server Configuration

This is part of the process when setting up your OLIB database as a Z server so that external organisations can search your OLIB database.

This is useful in third-party discovery systems, for example, so that users of these systems can link directly back to the record in Folio without having to repeat the search.

See also Export MARC with Customised Holdings Information.

Include STT Link? Set to Yes to include a StraightToTitle link in the MARC record which is returned from the Z Server.
STT Link URL The URL of your library's public-facing OPAC (WebView). The Z Server will append ?oid=[titleno] to the end of this URL. This field must be completed if you set Include STT Link to Yes.
STT Link Text Enter a description of the link. This will be displayed in a pop up box when the user hovers over the link in Aspire.
Include STR Link? Set to Yes to include a StraightToReserve link in the MARC record which is returned from the Z Server.
STR Link URL The URL of your library's public facing OPAC (WebView). The Z Server will append ?sr=[titleno] to the end of this URL. This field must be completed if you set Include STR Link to Yes.
STR Link Text Enter a description of the link. This will be displayed in a pop up box when the user hovers over the link in Aspire.
Requests API Configuration
URL The patron requesting API for e.g. UnityUK.
Caching On? Yes/No. If on, then the “my list of requests” is retained locally until it is known to have changed (because the user has just placed a new request). Getting the list normally takes 25-30 seconds.
Date Format The format used when sending dates to the Patron Requesting API
Certificate Store The Oracle Wallet file setting. Required if the patron request API is https.
Proxy Server The name or IP and port number for the proxy server that this library system needs to communicate through in order to get to the Patron Request API. This may be different to the Link Checker Proxy requirement, but generally not.
Proxy Username The user / password required to authenticate with the proxy server in order to get to the Patron Request API.

FTP Timeouts

To make timeouts for FTP configurable these settings are available. These timeouts occur if there is no response from the FTP site. This is relevant to several functional areas of OLIB such as:

· Exporting to 3rd party systems · Exporting Records to a Discovery Service or WorldCat data sync · Integration with Supplier online services · Automated retrieval of MARC record from WorldShare Collection Manager

These 2 connections are part of the FTP protocol.

Control Timeout for the communication of the transfer e.g. looking at ftp directories. Enter the timeout period you require in seconds, e.g. 300 seconds for 5 mins. If not specified, this will default to 30 seconds.
Data This is the connection that is open when the data is transferred. Enter the timeout period you require in seconds, e.g. 300 seconds for 5 mins. If not specified, this will default to 30 seconds.
