Setting up your new OCLC Services Account password

Symptom

• A new OCLC Services Account has been created for you, e.g. to access your WorldCat Registry configuration.
• Follow these steps to set your password.

Resolution

1. Access Service Configuration: Go to https://worldcat.org/config/.
2. Choose Account Type: Select Use your OCLC Services Account.
3. Find your Institution: Enter your OCLC Symbol (e.g. ABCDE) or name.
4. Confirm: Select your institution from the results and click Continue.
5. Request Password: On the sign-in page, select Set/reset password (or "Request Password").
6. Enter Username: Provide your Username (e.g. johnsmith123).
7. Check Email: You will receive an email containing a password reset link at your registered email address (e.g. name@example.com).
