I am getting the error: "FATAL ERROR: Remote side unexpectedly closed network connection".

  • You are attempting to connect or upload/download files in FileX and are getting the above error.

  • WorldShare Admin
  • WorldShare Circulation
  • Tipasa
Resolution

There are a couple of things you can check about the information you are sending to connect:

  1. Look all the way to the left in the "host" field. This will need to start with the protocol sftp, not ftp or anything else.
  2. Ensure you are typing '22' into the "port" field. This is easy to overlook.

If this does not resolve the issue, please have your IT team run a traceroute on this process and send to OCLC Support.
