Why is WorldCat.org linking to an item which has the same title but a different format or edition?

Applies to

  • WorldCat.org

Answer

WorldCat.org groups related items together, so that users looking at the record of an item with one format can link to a related record in a library's ILS with a different format or edition. Signing in and selecting the option to view "this edition" in WorldCat.org will prevent the links to related editions from showing.
