I've added a new logo URL in our FirstSearch configuration, but the logo will not display.

Symptom

  • You have added a new logo URL to the FirstSearch admin portal, but the logo is not displayed in FirstSearch
  • A broken image icon is displayed in FirstSearch instead of your logo

Resolution

If you have updated the logo URL in the FirstSearch admin portal and it is not displaying correctly, please try the following:

  1. Confirm that the logo you have provided meets the requirements that are outlined in our Add your library's logo to FirstSearch documentation. Note that a GIF or JPEG is recommended. Also, the image needs to be hosted somewhere accessible and not proxied.
  2. If this does not resolve the issue, it's possible your library has more than one FirstSearch instance. The logo needs to be configured in each instance. If you are unsure whether your library has more than once instance, contact OCLC Support.

If this does not resolve the issue, please contact OCLC Support with a screenshot of your settings and a description of the issue.
